The first map of the series started off with HEROIC, on the counter-terrorist side of Cobblestone, taking the pistol round. After following it up in the second round, HEROIC eventually lost to a force-buy around a saved M4 by North. Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen & co. then doubled up with a play on B, pushing HEROIC into an eco round. North then started to get into the groove, winning rounds and not allowing the CTs to build up an economy. HEROIC were finally able to put up a third round, 3-7, in the tenth round, in large part thanks to three big AWP kills early on by Jakob "JUGi" Hansen. They then followed it up by retaking A site, and it quickly snowballed as HEROIC played with early information takes and fast rotations around the map to take the 8-7 lead into the half. The second pistol round was won by North, but their rivals quickly started to run away with the second half after winning the forcebuy after planting and successfully exploding the bomb, something they then did 4 more times in a row for a 13-8 lead. Down 8-14, North were finally able to get back on the board, as Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye got a mid-round double and closed it out with a triple, but it was too little too late as Andreas "MODDII" Fridh and Patrick "es3tag" Hansen with triples in the last two rounds closed the map out. Heroic move on to the lower bracket final
The second map, Train, started with HEROIC once again taking the lead after winning the T-side pistol round and the two anti-ecos, although North quickly regained composure and tied it 3-3 once rifles were thrown into the mix. HEROIC started to attack the exterior bomb site, and were able to exploit it several times, although North’s five rounds in a row at the end of the half gave the Lions the lead, 9-6, going into the attacking side. HEROIC immediately got into the half as Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen got a triple entry defending a push on the outer bomb site. The two teams then traded rounds, fighting for early second half dominance, which HEROIC eventually took, bringing it to 10-10 before the first buy round. The RFRSH-backed team then took the lead once again after stopping an outer push, to put North back on an eco. HEROIC eventually got on series point, 15-11, against a North without much utility, and closed it out to move on to the next round. cs_summit 2Best of 3 North Matchpage 0 2 10th February 2018 HEROIC 9Cobblestone 16 11Train 16 Markus 'Kjaerbye' KjærbyeKjaerbye | 33 - 36 | -3 | 71.1 | 1.03 | Daniel 'mertz' Mertzmertz | 29 - 35 | -6 | 67.3 | 0.99 | Valdemar 'valde' Bjørn Vangsåvalde | 33 - 36 | -3 | 70.5 | 0.90 | Mathias 'MSL' LauridsenMSL | 30 - 42 | -12 | 70.3 | 0.86 | Philip 'aizy' Aistrupaizy | 23 - 41 | -18 | 49.5 | 0.57 |
